1. Joel Osteen’s Greatest Work

  2. We Didn’t Budget for This…

    This is how trying to get paid for the work you did on a website can be sometimes. I’m thankful every time I can deal with a client not like this.

  3. Joel Osteen Vs. SNL’s Stuart Smalley

    Or maybe Osteen + Smalley.

  4. Lyrical Content

    Finding good, contemporary, and (the breaker:) theologically sound music is like (insert hyperbole here [needle/haystack, fishing in a desert, etc..]) So it’s pretty nice when you come across an artist who packs a sermon’s worth of theology in his songs along with the Gospel.

    I have been a fan of LeCrae, Flame, Trip Lee, and other similar artists, but have been hearing more and more of a rapper named Shai Linne. The lyrics are no-doubt Christ centered and puts man in his proper place. There’s a lot more I could say, but I’ll just let the music is speak for its self.

    Here’s a few more songs from Shai Linne
    Mission Accomplished – A discourse on Election
    Shai Linne’s a capella rap
    Passover – An Hebrew dad explaining to his daughter why Mr. Moses told them to eat the lamb

  5. Never Anger a Prophet

    I just finished reading Jeremiah 18. Here his people are against him after all the pleading with God he’s done on their behalf. I thought his response was interesting to say the least.

    18 Then they said, “Come, let us make plots against Jeremiah, for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not pay attention to any of his words.”

    19 Hear me, O Lord,
    and listen to the voice of my adversaries.

    20 Should good be repaid with evil?
    Yet they have dug a pit for my life.
    Remember how I stood before you
    to speak good for them,
    to turn away your wrath from them.

    21 Therefore deliver up their children to famine;
    give them over to the power of the sword;
    let their wives become childless and widowed.
    May their men meet death by pestilence,
    their youths be struck down by the sword in battle.

    22 May a cry be heard from their houses,
    when you bring the plunderer suddenly upon them!
    For they have dug a pit to take me
    and laid snares for my feet.

    23 Yet you, O Lord, know
    all their plotting to kill me.
    Forgive not their iniquity,
    nor blot out their sin from your sight.
    Let them be overthrown before you;
    deal with them in the time of your anger.
