The Bible in 30 Days : Sabbath

I taking a day of rest from reading so furiously.

exhausted

Turns out I made a booboo in planning… Since I didn’t take into account that Matt’s plan was being modified from ehow’s plan as he went along, I had to scratch my head when I hit this:

  • Day 10 1 Chronicles 1 2 Chronicles 36
  • Day 11 Ezra 1 Esther 10
  • Day 12 2 Chronicles 35:16 Job 7:21

So today, I’m just finishing 2 Chronicles and fleshing out the rest of the plan.

Last night Gary (a new brother in Christ!) and I were looking at the 10 Commandments to show our own sinfulness. Most of the time the examples used are stealing, murdering, and adultery, but we went through all of them.

Keeping the Sabbath holy, taking a day of rest, really stuck out to me. God rested, and he wants us to. So I will be meditating on that today as well.

As for Gary, if you get a chance say a quick prayer for him and his discipleship process. We’re picking out a bible Saturday and we’ve started going through Romans! He’s hungry for the Word, and although I didn’t get to be there when he accepted Christ, I’m honored to help him learn more about Jesus.

Going Well, Can I Keep It Up?

I fell better and healthier.

So far, I have lost about 20 lbs.

I don’t feel hungry, I just eat until I am satisfied and stop. I no longer stuff myself full.

Other than that,I drink plenty of water, and do some exercise at least once a day.

Now I know water doesn’t make you lose weight, however it does keep me full.

Now I just have to keep going, obviously, the weight loss will not continue at that pace, but hopefully I can keep a consistent 2-3 lbs a week.

Keep me encouraged!

Good Morning, Exercise! Where’s the Sun?

Good Morning!

Kay and I have been talking about putting aside time for exercise for awhile now. The thing is, we just had a lot to do, and when we had free-time, we just wanted to relax.

After talking with Leigh about his daily-morning-swim, I decided that we will just have to force ourselves to, and if we didn’t have the time, well, we would just make the time.

This morning, our alarm clock sounded at 4:55 am. I would have done 5:00, but I need the extra time to talk Kay out of the bed.

We eventually rolled out, got dressed, took Gannon out side and started going.

It was a little too dark to jog on a dirt road with no lights, so we jogged around our yard (which is over an acre, so we weren’t skimping.)

We walk and jogged alternately for about half an hour, and I gotta say, I feel pretty good. I didn’t over do it, so I’m not too tense, I feel just right.

I’m proud of Kay, she never used her inhaler, the whole time we were out there.

This has given us plenty of morning time, so it looks like we’re doing it again tomorrow.

So, Good morning!
